Poria is a kind of fungus that usually grows on the roots of pine trees. It is dark brown and mostly white or pink inside. It is mainly produced in Yunnan, Sichuan, Henan and other regions of China, and it is a commonly used single medicine in Chinese medicine.

It can invigorate the spleen and stomach, soothe the mind, strengthen the body's immunity, and also has a certain preventive effect on tumors.

How to eat:
Common ways of eating include making soup, making porridge, making tea, making cakes, making wine, and making tuckahoe paste. Different methods have different flavors and effects.

Poria Congee

The easiest and most practical way to eat is to prepare 100g japonica rice, 15g poria, salt, monosodium glutamate, pepper and other seasonings before cooking. Wash the rice, add 1L or a little more water to the pot, then add the non-glutinous rice and Poria powder. After boiling over high heat, turn to low heat to make porridge. You can add various seasonings when eating.

Poria Egg Soup

Prepare 15g of tuckahoe, three bowls of water and an egg, soak the tuckahoe in water for a while and then rinse it off. Beat the eggs in a bowl and stir (you can remove the egg whites and leave only the yolk). Put the Poria into a pot and boil them. When the three bowls of water are boiled into one bowl, quickly pour the water into the eggs (egg yolks) and stir them into egg soup.

Storage method: Keep away from light, in a cool and dry place.
